No More Binkie (Mimi)!!!

This has now worked 3 times for our family. The Binkie in the Build-a-Bear trick! First, we talk about it for months before the big event. Then we go to Build-a-Bear and the binkies go into the bear (or cat or monkey) and it is sewed up. The final step is to wear the kids out at either Chuck E Cheese or Safari Sams and then bring them home and put them to bed. For the first 2 children, it worked like a breeze. For the third child, it worked, just not as easily. There was about a week where she cried every night saying, "I want my binkie", for at least an hour or more when she went to bed. We did finally get through it though and we are now a binkie free home!

Eye Surgery #1 and #2!

Yep, we had to have 2 eye surgeries in order to fix little girl's blocked tear duct. She was such a trooper for both, but not quite as happy after the second one because it was quite a bit more involved, like breaking her nose. She was excited about the popsicles at the end though! All the doctors and nurses that worked with her for both surgeries were great!

Pumpkin Patch

One of my favorite activities every fall is going to the pumpkin patch with the family. This year we got a day to go with absolutely beautiful weather which made it all that much more fun!

Color Run

In September we joined thousands of other people and did the Color Run in Portland. It is a 5K run where at each kilometer, a different color gets tossed onto you so that by the end, you are covered with various colors! It was a really fun event to do with the boys.
