1st Time Camping

This month we ventured out to camping with the boys (2 and 4) for the first time. We kept it close to home in case we had to come home in the middle of the night and only for 2 nights. I had grown up camping and loved it. My husband was not quite as sure about the adventure. It took us about 8 man hours to pack for the 2 nights, not counting the time we spent shopping for the trip. The time there was great. The boys rode bikes and scooters and played in the water with their cousins, who also came along on the trip with my sister. Nighttime was the hardest. We tried to put the youngest to bed earlier than the rest of us, but he kept running around in the tent and diving into bed each time we went to "check" on him. The second morning the 4 of us woke up in 2 sleeping bags on 1 queen air mattress-very cozy. Needless to say, by the time we got home, we were all exhausted and took a very long nap. Crazy enough, I look forward to the next camping adventure.

No wonder you didn't want to come to the beach with us that morning after you got home.

Camping????Not yet for us! Ha!

I am so glad you are blogging - you got to start leaving some comments to others too, it's fun as they return the favor and maybe even your family will get the hang of it!

Hi Amy! I tripped on your blog when I was looking at Tara's. What a small world! Glad you had fun adventures with camping. Tom & I neither one grew up camping, so afraid our kiddos will miss out on those types of adventures for now. Glad to find you and hope you are well.
