Cute Stuff

I always forget to just write about the little things in life, so here are a couple that just made me smile this week.
As I was going over the next days events with D, because he always likes to know what's going on, he tells me, "I can't go mommy, I have plans tomorrow." I thought, really, already, at age 5?
Also, O has been taking his own seatbelt off and telling me how strong he is because he can do it by himself. One time this week, he couldn't get his seatbelt off and tells me that, "I'm not strong anymore." D then proceeds to take it off for him and his next comment was "D got my strong". Just cute stuff that they say every week, but I never remember to write down.
Here's also a recent sampling of the numerous art projects done in our house on a daily basis.

O's ARTWORK (very advanced compared to earlier pitures)-The family with Daddy, D on top of Daddy's head, Mommy and the little one is O. Plus a rainbow picture.

We had a great time at the beach and aquarium for our weekend away for Mother's Day. It was quite windy at the beach, but we found a little coved area and the boys just played and played in the sand and collected seashells. We swam a lot at the hotel pool and by evening were totally worn out for bed. It was fun snuggling up together and watching Bolt before going to bed early! It was just the way I wanted to celebrate Mother's Day-with my family.

LONG WEEK...Tonsils out!

Last week O got his tonsils and adenoids out. The surgery was very quick, but apparently O had a hard time coming out of the anesthetic and tried to rip his IV out, so we didn't get to see him for about 45 minutes. By the time Billy and I saw him, he was calm again and ready to munch on some popsicles. The first day went smooth, but by the second day, O refused to take his pain meds and we used every bribing trick we could think of including several trips to the toy store. But by the third day, even that didn't work and after having him not eat or drink all day long we took him to the doctor. Finally, a tylenol suppository saved us from having him admitted. Those and chewable tylenols mixed in a handful of smarties were the only reason we made it through the weekend! It took a good 8 days before the "old" happy O seemed to reappear. It was a long week for O's parents, but we made it though. He now sleeps so well and his voice is totally different, but still cute!
